I was out in the park the other evening trying to get some great shots of the autumn sunset. I set off to the mansion house and the storm clouds made the sunset even more amazing, with the golden colour only peaking through the clouds in a few areas. Although that was amazing it isn't what I was talking about, I happened to be resting/ going through some of my photos when large numbers of crows started to gather above. I reckon in reached in excess of 90 crows, their cries filled the air and they circled above - I was in a state of awe. I had never seen anything like it. Then unfortunately the clouds opened and I got drenched. Anyway once I got home I researched this behaviour and it ended up that what I witnessed was a 'murder of crows'.. it occurs as they gather in great numbers to go to sleep.
