DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ALL FRIENDS OF NONSUCH ACTIVITIES ARE POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Upcoming Events


Tuesday, 21st April at 7.30pm, John Hawks ​of the Wandle Industrial Museum and Merton Priory Trust will engage us with his talk about Merton Priory.


Our AGM will take place on Thursday 28th May at 8pm.

Tuesday, 16th June at 7.30pm, Michael Gilbert will return to give us Part 2 of his 1851 Exhibition talks – Sydenham 1854 and the Crystal Palace’.

Tuesday, 21st July at 7.30pm, The Vibrant Ukulele Club, will return by popular demand to sing and play a selection of popular songs.

Tuesday, 18th August at 7.30pm, Peter Wakeham of the Surrey Botanical Society and the Downlands Trust will tell us about Springs and Waterways of Carshalton.

Tuesday 22nd September at 7.30pm, medieval historian, TV producer, podcast host of Hidden Histories, author of The Red Prince, the Life and times of John of Gaunt, Dr. Helen Carr will talk to us about History on the TV.

Tuesday 20th October at 2.30pm, Michael Gilbert will present his third and final talk on the 1851 Exhibition entitled The Perfect Playground.

Tuesday, 17th November at 2.30pm, Fiona McKelvie,
will tell us about Textile Connections - Linens, Liberty and Beyond.


​All events are followed by refreshments.


Entry to talks is FREE FOR MEMBERS and just £6 for Non-members.
​A non-member, however, may become a member for the same amount. It's a no-brainer!

Opening times of the Nonsuch Palace Model and Service Wing Museum

NONSUCH PALACE MODEL - FREE entry
Is open every Sunday throughout the year from 2pm - 5pm from April to September, and 11am - 3pm from October to March.

THE SERVICE WING MUSEUM - FREE entry
Is only open during the summer from Easter weekend until the end of September on the Second and Fourth Sundays of the month, and Bank Holidays from 2pm - 5pm, although the Museum will not be open on the changed May Day Bank Holiday this year, which will occur on a Friday.
